Bro. Fran is originally from Iowa and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Florida, Germany and California. While in Germany, he met his wife Tammy, who was also in the Air Force. They have two children and five grandchildren. He and Tammy have been together since 1990 and he is as thankful for Tammy today as the day they met. The recently relocated from Valley, Alabama where he was the Foodservice Director at Lanier Healthcare and the Pastor at Blanton Baptist Church. They are thankful to live now in Tennessee.

Bro. Fran has attended both Southern and Southeastern Baptist Seminaries, along with the Samford extension programs in both Tennessee and Alabama. Caney Ford Baptist Church is the third church he has pastored. He believes his mission is to equip the saints for the ministry of the Church. As a firm believer in the Bible being the inspired, inerrant, Word of God, his focus is on helping each member to grow in God’s Word by study and application of the Word in their daily lives and in the ministry of the Church.

His hobbies include painting, fishing, pulling for Iowa State, cooking, and trying to tell the best “Dad joke,” ever… he is still waiting on that one to work out.
